Where Papa truck?

Last week Anderson was having a bad day. Everything made him cry or fuss. So Grandma asked Anderson if he wanted to go for a ride in Papa's truck to get the oil changed. He hopped up, grabbed his shoes and was ready to go. At the dealership while we waited Anderson was so well behaved (Mara too). These pictures were taken after Grandma walked him outside to see Papa's truck up in the garage being fixed. So when we came back in he was literally smearing his nose to the glass trying to find Papa's truck. It didn't matter that it was tucked away at an angle he would never see from inside - he still watched patiently, sweetly asking "Where Papa truck?"

I nove you the nost

A couple days ago I had a migraine and Nathan couldn't come home. I was miserable most of the way. On the way to go meet the kids for an after-school activity, I went to the bathroom - partly to use the restroom, but more just to have a moment of peace and quiet. Mara was saying something and I was so frustrated - I just wanted quiet. Then Anderson started "Mommy..." Inside I thought "Can't they just leave me alone?" Then Anderson said "Mommy, I nove you the nost." It was so cute, so sweet and could not have been planned better. Surprisingly I felt much happier and was able to go help with the activity. Again, I think that was one of those tender mercies.
So to capture the cuteness I tried to get Anderson to say it again. He will say it all the time - until I get the camera. So this is the best I could get. It kind of sounds like he is saying "I wove you the nost." Either way - he is just too cute.

Who's that sleeping in my bed?

Alright Anderson, this is getting ridiculous. The first picture here is Anderson sleeping in his room - not his bed, but at least his room.

The next picture is the kids sleeping last night. Do you think this is comfortable? I don't know why we wasted money on buying beds for each of the kids. Technically,I guess these are his role models - great example, huh?

This picture is Anderson asleep last night. He is on my side of the bed - sleeping sideways - I probably don't have to mention that I am exhausted today. We went to bed really late and then he kept coming in and waking me up. I gave up and let him in the bed and apparently he took over.

What are we to do?

Where in the house...continued

Well, one night while I was reading scriptures to the children at bedtime, somehow Anderson (my sneaky little man) went into my room and fell asleep in my bed. Where in the house is Anderson sleeping tonight? Of course we put him back in his bed when we went to sleep, but he returned.

Now this is my favorite. I was tucking the kids into bed (the boys to be more specific). I asked Anderson "Where are you sleeping?" He pointed to my room. I laughed - I meant which bed in the boys' room he was sleeping on, but I guess he had other ideas. Well, Nathan and I went to work not paying attention and as I tried to leave my room I was startled - I found this outside my door.

He was as close as he could be to my room without actually being inside. Then once we knew he was there we started glancing back and every now and then. I looked back just as he rolled into my room and I quick told Nathan "look - he made it in!" He sure is quite a funny little guy. But hey, he makes bedtime interesting - it is like a nightly game of finding the boy before I go to sleep. Then of course he may not be in the same spot when he wakes up either. What a nut.

Where in the house is Anderson sleeping tonight?

Well, Anderson likes to sleep around. I have been collecting pictures. It looks like he is just taking a nap, but he actually gets a clean shirt and clean pair of shorts for bed - I guess he doesn't like pajamas.

At first Anderson would come to our room a lot and sleep on the floor next to my bed or sometimes in a moment of weakness I would let him in the bed. Then he got adventurous. One night I went to check on the kids before bed and Anderson was nowhere to be found. Now it is like a game - Where in the house is Anderson sleeping tonight?

Here he is in the family room on the couch.

The next night he was asleep on the couch in the living room.

Then one night I was looking everywhere for Anderson and couldn't find him. My mom was in the shower and when she returned to her bedroom she asked my dad when he came? My dad said "who?" Anderson had quietly gone into their room with Papa there and fell asleep on their bed.

Then a couple days later I was waking up all the kids and couldn't find Anderson. Grandma and Papa let him stay all night in their bed! Can we say spoiled?

More often lately since Grandma and Papa went camping again he sleeps in the girls room. But I wonder where he will sleep tonight.

Nice hat

I went in the girls room to get the kids ready for bed and when I looked up this is what I saw:

Anderson and "His Sasha"

Anderson absolutely LOVES my parents dog Sasha. One night at 8 pm he got his shoes on and said "Sasha my dog walk". Now he is speaking even better sentences but still calls her "My Sasha". So here are a couple pics of Anderson and his Sasha:

Camping

Well, Grandma and Papa have been here for a couple weeks because they had to get a new roof and some new doors on the house. Anderson has been in heaven - he definitely has them both wrapped around his little finger.

So, this morning Grandma was telling Anderson that tomorrow Papa and Sasha (Anderson's favorite dog) were going camping again. Anderson didn't say anything and left the room. We assumed he was just upset. Wrong - he came out a couple minutes later with his Happy Camper t-shirt! He is too much. I guess he figured he was going too.

We'll miss you Grandma and Papa and Sasha and Lightfoot.

I was looking for a picture for the background on my computer and I found these adorable pictures of the kids coming to visit Baby Anderson in the hospital. I just had to share!

The Fight for Mommy

Anderson and Daddy have an ongoing battle over Mommy. Daddy will cuddle up next to her and say "my mommy" or vice versa and the jealousy sets in! Last time Anderson climbed on top of his mommy and covered her up so Daddy couldn't even get close. Ahh to be so loved...

Doorbell

I love it when kids start talking a lot. Anderson says the CUTEST things. Right now he is going up to the bedroom door and saying in a musical tone "Ding Nong."

Wall-e

This morning Anderson put binoculars up to his eyes and said "Wall-e". He sounded just like Wall-e. What a clever little man. I will try to get it on video.

My muv you

I think half of the kids now have recent posts titled I love you and yet they are all different. Today we were on our way to the movies because a friend of ours gave us three tickets. Brooklynn is at a pool party, so I only had five. Piece of cake, right? Well, we were running late and I was flustered. Then we got in the truck and no one wanted to sit in certain spots, Anderson threw a fit because Mara took the spot he wanted, and I was stressed. So as we drove out of the driveway I asked the kids not to talk to me - that I just needed to relax. Then Anderson says "Mommy" ..."Mommy." I said " What?" Then in his sweet two year old voice he said "My muv you." My bad mood melted and we headed off to the movies a bit happier. Well, Nannerman, My muv you too!

Snatch and Go

Dallen, Mara and I were reading Who's Your Hero. We were reading about Nephi and Anderson must have been aware of the story because as soon as I read the last page and turned the page to the Family Home Evening ideas, he nonchalantly walked by and snatched the book right out of my hands. I don't know how he had such impeccable timing - I guess he really wanted his turn to read it. He was so smooth I had to stop to come write about it.

I am brave

All summer long I have sat on the side lines watching the kids swim. Last time the family went swimming though I GOT IN! I went swimming in a big pool. That makes me a big boy.

I have arrived!

I am the only kid that didn't have my own blog only because I am too young to care. But once I see pictures of me and me repeating the Fiona doll I will be all about blogging. Anderson never let me take pictures of him before - he would always turn away. But the day I realized he was mocking Fiona and made such a big deal about it, things changed. Now he will randomly come up and hit me and say "Nother one. Camera." (When I filmed him I would ask him to do another one - another one of the phrases. ) Thus, a star is born - and a blog too - there will be no holding him down.
